SUKU

Suku means tribe or family — and to us, it’s both. We like to keep life simple, just like this website.

About Suku

Everyone who takes part in this journey — guests, builders, surfers, wanderers — becomes part of our tribe. This is a hilltop sanctuary tucked away on a peninsula, where jungle meets ocean, and time seems to slow down. Perched high above, Suku overlooks two stunning bays: the surf-famous Gerupuk Bay, with its five unique breaks, and the untouched serenity of Siwak Bay, alive with natural rhythm. To find us, follow the winding road past the village and up a dirt path that leads to something special. Here, nature sets the pace. On quiet nights, the “kodok kodok” calls of frogs and the hoot of our resident owls echo through the valley. During the day, dragonflies dart through sunbeams and birdsong fills the air.

When the swell hits, the entire valley vibrates with the sound of crashing waves. You’ll hear the ocean before you see it. The three different spaces Built with care and purpose, our wooden homes embrace sustainable living. We’ve used locally sourced wood, a renewable and low-impact material. Every shower draws from our on-site well, and every drop returns to the earth through a custom bioseptic system.

What you qillsee today is the result of hard work, shared vision, and global collaboration. Teams of builders, friends, and dreamers came together to raise Suku. Wake up, step out, and look over the bay—check the swell before you grab your board. Whether you’re chasing waves or just soaking in the view, life on the hill is as easy as it should be. Suku, tribe by nature.
